Types Of 4G
4G is the short term for fourth generation wireless connection for cellular communication. Let’s have a look at 4G, what is it, what does it do and how it does it. These are some fundamental questions in understanding 4G (fourth generation). 4G was the first generation analog wireless phone that was introduced in the 1980s. It superseded 2G and 3G before.
It is generally used as a marketing term by cellular phone network service providers to describe future improvements to the present cellular network. There are two types of 4G and its networks are much faster in speed of 1mbps than 3G. In addition, for consumers it is more about the internet downloading speed. One who is not concerned about the internet speed or his mobile phone or modem, he probably does not care about 4G.
4G is currently the most widespread and high-speed wireless providing service. It is still not available in some parts of the world. The first generation was an old cellular system. 2G is digital and slow, but people are still using it. No matter what the technology is used behind 4G, it is designed to deliver its maximum speed. On an average, 4G is four to five times faster than 3G connection.
Basically, there are two separate types of 4G wireless networks: WiMaX abbreviation of (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) and (Long Term Evolution) abbreviated as LTE. WiMAX and LTE are marked as the 4G networks, 3G has the range from optimum level to 3 miles where as WiMAX has a rage of 31 miles from its optimum location.
LTE is the latest and fastest variety of 4G network. It is incredible for downloading and streaming. The speed of 4G LTE is said to rival many home Internet connections.
The first type of 4G, (Wimax) network was developed by Sprint, and its partners where as LTE is an extension of the GSM network. WiMAX is provided at home on mobile Internet access and is a new wireless platform that delivers a far wider range of applications to users with high performance, high quality video, voice and downloads. Its video surveillance cameras are installed for remote monitoring. In Pakistan, while there are only 7 million PC users, about 95 million mobile phone users and 95 million people who own TV’s a WiMAX television or a nation’s wireless broadband users to connect to the Internet. WiMAX base stations are ideal with each can provide coverage equivalent to dozens of Wi-Fi access points at a higher throughput.
The second type of 4G, LTE’s overall objective is to provide an exceptionally high performance radio access technology that offers full vehicular speed mobility, and that can coexist with earlier networks. LTE turn out to be the success story of the mobile industry and still had to be seen. The operators of the network around the world are only installing it. The future for LTE in unseen, but it will surely be very interesting. This is the most interesting time in the mobile industry. Hopefully, the problems faced with LTE today will go away with time. At the very least, it might take a start in developing more advanced battery and portable radio technologies that handle more than what current ones do. Before you buy a 4G phone make sure you ask exactly what type of 4G network you are getting and ensure that their coverage works for you.
