There are many different ways that a community, state, or country can be governed. This is why there are a number of different types of government as well. The most common of the many types of government are capitalism, communism, socialism, dictatorship, monarchy, theocracy, totalitarian, and republic among others.
Capitalism is the first of the many types of government. In capitalism, the people are the ones that own their own businesses. They are the ones who own their properties. The people are also the ones who decide on the services they offer and use. Russia is an example of a place that is under capitalism types of government.
Communisms are types of government wherein the governments are the ones who owns businesses. The government is the one who owns pretty much everything, really. They provide and control the many different aspects that involve a certain place or location. These aspects include education, healthcare, and overall welfare of the people in there. Cuba is an example of a place run by communism.
Socialisms are types of government wherein the governments are the ones who own most of the large industries. However, there is still a private sector that allows people to choose. The governments are also the ones who provide the health needs of the people. They are the ones who provide education as well. Welfare services of the place are also being provided by the government. But when it comes to economic choices, the people still have a say. Norway is an example of a place run by socialism.
Dictatorships are types of government that are rules by one single person, the dictator. The person or the dictator is not elected by the people. He or she actually forced himself to be in that place. When a place is under a dictatorship, individual rights are not practiced and almost no attention is given to public opinion. Iraq is an example of a place run by dictatorship.
Monarchies are types of government that is led by a king or queen. The kind or queen has absolute power over the place. When a king or a queen dies, the throne is passed onto their next kin. Examples of a country run by monarchies are Britain and Jordan.
Theocracies are types of government that is run by a set of religious ideas. A known example of a place run by theocracy is Iran. Totalitarian are places that are run by a certain political parties. The people are forced to do what the party wants them to do. The party also has the right to stop the people from coming in and leaving the certain place. An example of a totalitarian country is China.
A republic is a government that is elected by the people. They are led by a group of representatives of each of the places involved in them. An example of a country run by a republic is the United States of America.
