Types Of Quantitative Research Designs
The types of qualitative research are formed on the basis of several studies that are required for carrying out the qualitative analysis. In case of corporate level companies’ quality is the true measure for determining the future success of a product. However, the qualitative analysis is not only limited to the corporate companies but also it is found in many other work fields. There are several types of qualitative research that play an important role in determining and improving the actual quality of certain product or the work.
The types of qualitative analysis are phenomenological study, grounded theory study, case study, and ethnographic study. However, these types of qualitative research are formed on the basis corporate level work; these types could change in other work fields.
Phenomenological study:
The phenomenal characteristics are involved in this type of analysis. The detailed explanation on each feature of the product is expected in this type. This type is considered as the deepest since it includes an elaborated format of each part of the products. However, phenomenological study is possible in other work areas as well such as marketing, surveys, and other promotional strategies. The data mining is one process involved in this type of studies. All the data tested from the experts is experimented through several perspectives and then it is used as the conclusion for phenomenological study. Other types of qualitative research don’t include thorough detailing as deep as the phenomenological study.
Grounded Theory Study:
The derivate form of composed data is grounded in a single data. This is called as grounded theory study. However, this type of analysis requires dealings with several situations and conditions. For example, while making a qualitative analysis on students it is required to include all minor aspects that students need to face while passing from one stage to another. As compared to other types of qualitative research, grounded theory study needs extra time and efforts. Considering a particular property of certain product or target, and then comparing it with the ample numbers of other theories such as features, characteristics, advantages, disadvantages, and benefits is required in case of grounded theory study.
Case Studies:
While handling a certain project, it becomes crucial for an employer to know the all details about the project. These details are called as key points for that project. It is also called as a descriptive exhaustive analysis. It becomes necessary to keep focus on the target while collecting the various aspects on it. In this type of analysis, a through knowledge on case handling is an important factor.
Ethnographic Study
Ethnological study is a traditional type of studies. Usually, these kinds of studies are carried out for studying the human society, mores, customs, culture, and other civilization related factors. Among all other types of qualitative research, case study is the only type that includes direct exposure to the society; otherwise all other types are centered at self-intention. Ethnological study has become an important factor in today’s world. However, a thorough knowledge of customs, traditions and cultures are compulsory in this type of study or analysis.
