For example, a person in an organization may be asked to make a report on the financial situation of the company. He would have to look at the factors that affect the financial situation and look into how money is spent, what it is spent on, why it is being spent in a certain way and come up with an overall report as to how these factors affect the financial situation of the company. Numerical values and figures would be included in the report as well.

Interpretative essays are also certain types of research essays that are used by people in order to help them explain something to another person. These essays are written after interpreting something- a topic, a field, a notion, misconception or such like. These types of research essays are also written by students who take theoretical and factual evidence and material into account. So when a student writes a thesis he/she is writing these types of research essays and applies what he knows to what he has to research upon as well.

These are some of the various types of research essays that are used in the world of today by different people of different ages and groups. Some of these are used on an organization level while others are used on a personal or academic level instead. There are also those types of research essays that are conducted in order to convince the government to change laws or to make more laws in regards to certain matters.
