In our lives, we will need to perform lots of research and this is why it is very important to get to know the types of research research people need. This is why there are many people who are able to do their jobs well. This is why there are many students that are able to study well too. Indeed, knowing the types of research research people use will greatly benefit anyone, anytime, anywhere.
There are four main approaches to the types of research research people use. The first one is quantitative research. From the root word quantity, these types of research research people use are those that are used for data that can be measured in quantity or amount. Basically, quantitative research methods are used to get data that be compared mathematically such as statistics and the like.
The second main approach to the types of research research people use is called qualitative research. The base word of these types of research research people use is quality, which pertains to non-numerical data and information that can be analyzed and observed. Among all the many types of research research people use, this is the one that is subjective and is mostly used for exploration. The most commonly used method in qualitative research is interviewing. Qualitative research can also be subdivided into three main groups namely phenomenonology which is the study of different phenomena, ethnography which is the study of ethnic groups together with their culture and heritage, and case study which is used to get and show the details of certain cases.
The third main approach to the types of research research people use is basic research. Here, as the name implies, the person who is researching is doing so because he wants to enhance his knowledge. Also, it is known that the basic research is done to get data that is not aimed to have any commercial potential – again, just for knowledge enhancement. There are many people who like to do basic research because this is good grounds to getting better at many different things. In a nutshell, the basic types of research research people use is done for the human, animal, and plant welfare.
Applied research types of research research people use is the fourth in this list. This is the opposite of basic research. Here, a research is conducted so as to be able to solved problems that are seen in the modern world. In other words, applied research has the goal of being able to improve the conditions of humans and hence solve the problems of the people. It is mainly focused on analysis too. In other terms, applied research is called problem solving research or problem oriented research as in this type of research, a problem is the reason why the research is being conducted and hence it is where the researching person circles around. A good example of this type would be doctors researching a treatment or a cure for a certain disease of illnesses.
