The basal cells are what line the deepest epidermis layer. Often, the basal cell carcinomas look like red patches and open sores. These types of skin cancer are highly treatable. Also, they do not easily spread to most parts of the body. Therefore, when you notice basal cell carcinoma then have it treated right away.
The second of the three types of skin cancer is the squamous cell carcinoma. These types of skin cancer are usually developed by too much exposure to the sun. Therefore, the parts of the body that are most affected by the squamous cell carcinoma are the ears, the mouth and the face. The most known symptoms of this types of skin cancer includes sore bumps or lesions that gets larger in due time. If the lesion and red patches are not treated, they can spread to the other parts of the body. Therefore, when diagnosed with these types of skin cancer, it is imperative that it should be treated right away.
The third of the three kinds of skin cancer is melanoma. Among all the three types, this is the deadliest. Melanoma can develop in any part of the body. But the most common body parts that get melanoma are the legs, arms, and trunk. The good thing about melanoma is that if it is detected at its early stages, they are highly treatable. Therefore, when you suspect that you have melanoma, make sure that you have it checked so it can be treated right away. The symptoms of melanoma include freckles or moles that can change in color, shape and size. Most of the times, the freckles or moles have an irregular outline that can be of a different color than the center.
